MiddleGround - A Browser Extension

MiddleGround, a browser extension, and web application is a project of the U.S.-based company, Middle Ground. Its purpose is to allow users to quickly identify if a news article is biased or non-biased. The extension was developed by a team of three people with experience in political journalism.

The extension is compatible with Google Chrome. When it is installed on your browser, the extension is activated when you click on a news article. After that, a window appears on the left side of your browser that has a legend for R, L, and C, which stand for right, left, and center, respectively. In the center of the window, you will see a list of the top three articles that you are currently reading, followed by a link to our web application. At the very bottom of the pop-up, there is a view more button that if clicked on, leads you to our web application.

We believe that there is a need for a tool that would allow users to discover media bias.
